Dear customer,

We're carrying out some repairs to our sewer…

As you may know, we've been carrying out important repairs to a sewer pipe on Coopers Lane in Dunton Basset.

Our team began work in early November 2025, but after digging down to uncover the pipe, we found the problem was more complicated than expected.

What are we doing?

To ensure the pipe is fully repaired and can continue to remove wastewater safely, our team have had to replace a 20-metre section of pipework. To add to the difficultly, we've had to carefully dig 3 metres into the ground to access the sewer pipe – supporting the ground as we go.

Keeping you safe For everyone's safety,

we've had to work under a road closure on Coopers Lane. Because the repair is complex, the road has had to stay closed for longer than we originally planned. We expect to finish and have the road reopened by 19 December 2025 at the latest, and if we can finish any sooner, we'll send you a text message to let you know.

Further Work on Main Street

During our assessment of the issue on Coopers Lane, some of our investigation equipment became lodged in the pipeline on Main Street, Dunton Basset.

Once repairs on Coopers Lane are complete, we'll need to dig down under a road closure to retrieve it. We'll let you know once this work will be planned in.
